General Description
Remifentanil, a synthetic opioid used for inducing anaesthesia and analgesia with a short effect. It has a very short recovery time.
Remifentanil is a selective mu-receptor agonist; it lowers the sympathetic neuronal tone, suppresses bronchial response, and has strong analgesic effects.
Its effect is rapid, very short term, and dose-dependent.
