General Description
Fentanyl citrate is a synthetic opioid used for treatment of moderate to severe pain with a short term effect and used in multiple doses daily.
Unlike morphine, it does not affect histamine release.
Fentanyl transdermal onset is 6-8 hours and the effect lasts for 72 hours.
