General Description

Noroxymorphone is a narcotic drug that is both a metabolite of oxymorphone and oxycodone and is specifically used as an intermediate in the production of narcotic antagonists such as naltrexone and naloxone. Noroxymorphone is the precursor for synthesis of naltrexone and naloxone, opioid antagonists used in first-line treatment of narcotics overdose.
