General Description

Dapagliflozin is used to treat type 2 diabetes. It is also prescribed for adults with heart failure and chronic kidney disease. This compound reversibly inhibits sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT-2) in the renal proximal convoluted tubule, reducing glucose reabsorption and increasing urinary glucose excretion.
